Q. How do I move a job to a different client?
A. First, open a job under the correct client. Next, move the existing job's contents by going to Clients & Jobs -- Client -- Job -- I Want to: Edit This Job -- [Application Options] -- Move Entire Job to [select Job Number]; click Submit Command. Q. Can I create an Event without associating a Job Number?
A. Yes, you can create an Event without associating a Job Number. Simply skip this field when you Add an Event. You will, however, still have to include a Title, Start Date, and at least one Guest for the Event.

Q. How do I edit a Job Number?
A. To edit a Job Number, simply go to Clients & Jobs -- Client -- Job -- I Want To: Edit This Job. Click on the appropriate item beside Number Change. If you're changing the Job Numbers Media Type, select Just Media Type. If you're changing its Job Type, select Whole Job Number. Otherwise, choose None. If youve realized that you chose the wrong Workback Schedule Template from the drop-down menu when you originally created the job, and haven't yet modified the existing Workback Schedule's content, simply choose the correct Template from the Change Template drop-down menu. Next, confirm the Template's Start (or End) Date (today by default). Any changes previously made to a job's Workback Schedule will not be saved when its Template is modified. If necessary, make any Title or Budget modifications. Lastly, click Edit This Job. Your Job Number, with modifications applied, will now appear within the Client's respective Job Folders area (Clients & Jobs -- Client).

Q. Can I use my own job numbering system?
A. CurrentTrack's numbering system, as a whole, cannot be customized; only its various "parts." For example, the first portion of the Number the Client Identifier can be represented in alpha, numeric, or a combination of both. The Job or Media Type, found further into the Number, can represent anything you'd like (e.g. Newspaper Production, Collateral, Broadcast Media Buy, etc.). If you're interested in using your own numbering system, include your number in the Title of the job; for example, "Capabilities Brochure (ABC123)." Select the appropriate Job or Media Type, as you normally would. This will enable you to use CurrentTrack's various reports (e.g. Working Tasks List, Gross Income Report, etc.) and to narrow them by Type of job. You'll also be able to use the Quick Search feature, located in the top-right corner of your screen, to search for your job numbers (e.g. Enter "ABC123," choose type radio button = Job).

Q. What's the best way to manage a Client's multiple-market projects?
A. First, create a Client Folder for each market (Administration -- Agency Administration -- Add Client). For example:

Acme: Baton Rouge
Acme: Lafayette
Acme: Multi-Market
Acme: New Orleans

Let's say you have a coupon to be used in the markets of Lafayette, Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Rather than open three separate jobs (i.e. one under Acme: Lafayette, another under Acme: New Orleans, and so on), simply open a single Job Number under Acme: Multi-Market (Clients & Jobs -- Client -- I Want To: Add Job for This Client). Be specific in the job's Title (e.g. "$2.99 Coupon: Lafayette, Baton Rouge, New Orleans"). Record all applicable Tasks, time and expenses against the job; archive once Complete.
