Q. I created a Sub-Item under the wrong Work Code. How do I move it?
A. Work Code Sub-Items cannot be moved individually. Simply inactivate the misplaced Sub-Item by going to Administration -- System Administration -- Manage Work Codes -- Edit Work Code. Next, choose the Sub-Item from Application Options and uncheck the Requires Qty, Can be Outsourced, Outsourced by Default, Can be Taxed, Can be Marked Up, and Use in Production Estimate boxes. Once you submit your changes, the Sub-Item will be removed from CurrentTrack. Lastly, re-create the Work Code Sub-Item beneath the correct Work Code.

Q. How do I make Work Code Sub-Items appear in the Time Sheet Code drop-down menu?
A. Determine which Sub-Items you'll most often use in your Time Sheet (e.g. Copywriting, Media Planning, Photo Retouching)? Create Work Codes by the same name(s), but don't check their Use in Production Estimate boxes, ONLY check their Use in Time Sheet boxes (Administration -- System Administration -- Manage Work Codes -- I Want To: Add a Work Code).

Q. How do I change a Work Code's Rate?
A. To change the Rate (e.g. AS from 100.00 to 150.00), first create a new Work Code that reflects the change(s) (e.g. AS @ 150.00). Then, inactivate the old Code. (This is also true for Work Code Sub-Items.) [This step is necessary because you wouldnt want the figures on a Production Estimate that youd already given to the Client or on a recorded Time Sheet to be affected by the change. Your records wouldnt match and Accounting would be very unhappy.] To inactivate a Work Code, go to: Administration -- System Administration -- Manage Work Codes. Choose the appropriate Work Code from the drop-down menu in the Edit Work Code section and click Submit. Uncheck the Use in Time Sheet and Use in Production Estimate boxes. Next, choose the new Work Code from the Move Sub-Items to drop down menu and click Edit Work Code. The Work Code will not be usable anywhere in CurrentTrack. It will, however, remain a part of any previously submitted forms such as Time Sheets and Production Estimates. Work Codes whose Rates (or names) have been modified will appear in red at the bottom of all previously field Production Estimates. That way, you can either move the Qty./Hour information up to the new Code (if it's an Active Estimate, for example) or simply leave the figure(s) in their "old" fields -- maintaining the job's historical accuracy.
